Let's create the future of Butoh and Butoh Ishii-gumi together. Thank you to everyone for your support. This month, we will introduce an early work of “Ayatsuri Sanbaso”. Sanbaso is said to be the oldest dance in Japan, originating in the traditional Japanese performing arts of Noh. This piece is based on “Ayatsuri Sanbaso, a Kabuki dance that is descended from Noh, and is performed in Butoh style. This is a rare video of the early days of the Butoh version of Misao Sanbaso, which is familiar from the New Year's performance. Please watch the original version before the recreation before the New Year's performance on January 5 next year!
