Ken Aoyagi | Trombone

Born in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, Ken Aoyagi began studying the trombone at the age of twelve. After graduating from the Music Department of Niigata Chuo High School, he earned his degree from the Department of Instrumental Music at the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts.

He has studied trombone with Tomomi Ueda, Shinji Koga, Naomi Okumura, Hiroyuki Kurogane, and Hiroshi Ishikawa. His chamber music mentors include Hiroki Tochimoto, Shinji Koga, Ryusyu Nakayama, and Mika Toyoda. He was awarded First Prize in the Quartet Division of the 7th Japan Trombone Competition.

Nanako Imai | Piano

Born in Shiga Prefecture, Nanako Imai graduated from Kikuzato High School in Nagoya and later from the Piano Department of Tokyo University of the Arts. She is currently in the first year of the Master’s Program at the Graduate School of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts.

She received the 2025 Heiwado Foundation Arts Encouragement Award and was selected by the university to perform in the Tokyo University of the Arts Morning Concert Series. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, and the Aichi Chamber Orchestra. In addition to her solo career, she is actively engaged in chamber music performances throughout Tokyo, Nagoya, and Shiga.

Her piano teachers include Hiroko Takebayashi, Shohei Sekimoto, Tomoya Umeda, and Akira Eguchi. She has studied music theory with Tamako Yoshida and fortepiano with Chie Hirai.
