Since March 2019, The Show has been held on the basement floor (B1) of this Cultural Exchange Hall. The performance centers on Taira no Masakado, the enshrined deity of Kanda Myojin. It tells a story of his love for the people and his family, his battles fought to end conflict, and his transformation into an “oni” (demon) out of rage after being branded a traitor. His wishes for the future, resting in Tokyo’s Otemachi and Bando City, are brought to life by The Show’s Team “Kai,” who blend sword fighting, action, dance, and drama in their performances. Since the pandemic began in 2020, with repeated closures and reduced hours, The Show has continued to explore new forms of entertainment to dispel the chaos of the times, adding video content to deliver a new style of nighttime entertainment from Kanda Myojin.
